Women’s Open
World Team
A three-day ‘hands
on’ Training Camp
will be presented
by USAPL’s President
Larry Maile, Head Coach of the Women’s Open World Team.
Instructor
Credentials
Larry’s success
credentials include:100+
National Individual
Champions, 7 Team
National Championships,
9 IPF World Champions,
and lifters have
broken IPF World
Records a total
of 39 times. Aside
from his world level
coaching credentials,
he is also an active
competitor himself,
winning the 2000
IPF Masters Worlds
and most recently
bronze medallist
at the 2003 USAPL
Senior Nationals.
The training camp
concept came about
because Larry coaches
many lifters long
distance. Several
of his lifters had
made periodic trips
up to Anchorage
to train prior to
a big upcoming meet,
such as Nationals
or Worlds. After
about 3 or 4 trips
up to Anchorage,
we decided to take
this concept on
the road, offering
any lifter to opportunity
to have a weekend
devoted to helping
them understand
technique, gear,
training cycles
and nutrition. There
have been three
camps done already,
one in Spokane,
WA , Plainwell,
MI and Chicago,
IL. With each camp,
new ideas and concepts
are made to accommodate
the lifters needs.
